I am quite excited for the premiere of my first novel. It’s been a long, long time for the completion of this book. I wrote most of Heroes Unknown – An Epic Fantasy in the late eighties, in my late teens and early twenties. I believe that it took me about three years to complete. I give thanks to all the waitresses in local Denny’s near my home. Their patience and courtesy really helped me. I eventually my persuaded my favorite waitress to write the last line of the book, and sign it. (Grin.)

Unfortunately, that particular manuscript was lost. I feared at one point that my book had been destroyed, but I found back-ups of the text on a 3.5" floppy (Or, a stiffy if you live in the UK.). I was already penning another modern fantasy, but delighted by the discovery of my manuscript. I could finish what I had begun.

My next two books in this trilogy were written at any coffee shop I could find. I moved a lot in those years, the manuscripts became my treasure, coveted in all the places I went, through all the relationships that I had. I still have the hand-written manuscripts sitting in my shelf. The second is partially digitized, the other, well I’ll need someone to transcribe that.

These manuscripts lay in my bookshelf for many years, gathering dust and generally being ignored as my life moved on. It wasn't until I joined a local writing club that I finally decided I would complete this task.

Afterwards, my life became fifteen months of grueling editing. (I mentioned that I wrote the book in my late teens/early twenties, didn't I?) Now, I sent the book out to the beta readers, looking for stupid or intelligent mistakes.

I shall take a break after all the editing. After becoming a hermit to most of the people I know, perhaps I can find a life again.  I will return to the keys ASAP.

I believe you will enjoy this journey, I’ve put a lot of effort into the creation of the world they live in, they people they are and the circumstances they encounter.

I hope this book is enticing for you.

Enjoy
